About Will

Pastor Will Akins became a Christian at a young age and has been serving in ministry since he was a teen. Growing up in a single parent home with an urban background and coming out successful makes him relatable and gives him the ability to minister to people from all backgrounds. With a big passion for the youth of this area and a huge heart for people, he became a licensed minister in the state of Texas and has worked in ministry for over 20 years. He has spent time as a youth pastor in southeast Texas, fostering relationships with other churches and schools in the area to promote unity in the body of Christ. Will serves in the role of Community Pastor, promoting the heart and vision of Pathway in connecting the local church with our community here in Southeast Texas. 

He is married to his wife of 15 years, Lauri Akins, who is a Special Education teacher in Nederland ISD, and who has also served in youth ministry for over 20 years. They are proud parents of a beautiful daughter, Presli, and enjoy supporting her in all her various activities.
